Um... Second thought... don't have digits for you people in boston who haven't got your digits on the class website (Karyn, dahl) Gram, Doug, I've got. So uh, Post your dubious digits here, and uh... I'll jot them down.

Ok, so the moment of wisdom for the week: Avoid having your appendix out if you can, it's not much fun.

In other news... leaning towards Thursday October 9th for a Boston Rendezvous. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Could possibly make it Friday, but am supposed to be driving to Grandma's house that night. Karyn, thanks for the offer to crash. I'll call you when I get home and we'll set up the evening a bit more, yeah?

Gram, I'm home in MA from the 5th-10th, away for a few days, back again the 15th, fly out the 17th. The boat looks great, man. And yes, I'd be HAPPY to join you on the final leg from Noumea to Sydney. Thanks so much for asking. :)

See some of you soon, yeah? Ciao.

Yeah I'm with Doug on this one: nice boat. You can hardly see the exhaust from the diesels or the jetwash or anything....Gram, you can hardly even tell that boat is moving! It's a major accomplishment! In all seriousness, it looks very nice, and don't forget about your southern friends when you sail to Florida in the future.

Ski trip, eh? So far we're (we = Anthony, Nicholas, and Corey) booked in Whistler for the 22nd through the 27th of February. Doug, stop in, it'll be fun.

Gram,

Nice boat, but you didn't show any pictures of the engine. Btw, if you can't get any putang living on that thing in Newport you'll probably be 45 and still taking free vacations with the family.

When exactly is the ski trip? I am supposed to be in Alaska for a couple weeks starting in February and I'm thinking it may work out where I can fly back with a couple day lay-over for drinking and some skiing.

Hope everyone is good.

God I havn't been to this site in forever.....As far as the ski trip goes, I won't be able to make it as that is the week I am to Hawai with the fam damily. Can't argue with a free vacation.

Hey Dave, I don't remember when you were coming up. I am up to Maine this weekend to sail my new apartment. Go to http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=47qj24b.b8nm0hk7&x=0&y=xo1hzn for some pics from last weekend when it was launched.
I will be living on her down here in newport this winter. Should be pretty nice and saves a fortune on rent.

I am then in England next week on biz. Hope I don't miss you. Shoot me an e-mail with your time schedule if possible.

Talk later.

Dave, with regards to getting your drunk ass home, you could just call my apt home for whatever evening we go out. We have a futon, an air bed, and a couch that you and whomever else comes up are more than welcome to use and they are all accessable by subway.

Dahl, how's your spicy beef jerky edible undies? Rash yet?

Heh heh. Karyn, glad to see I'm not the only one with a hellion of a little brother. Look at the bright side... you don't have to look at him and think, "Damn, I wish I had my lil' bro's skazilz."

Jason... tell me the kitten was your idea? And tell me it is all black with a white patch around its eyes. Good name scheme at least.

I'm leaning towards Boston for a rendezvous, but I'm now taking bids for other locations from people who are willing to provide me with a designated driving service so I can carry my drunk ass home. Any takers? Doug? 2 weeks and counting.

Corey, Riesling, interesting choice. Have you tried any Chenin Blanc? It's lovely with Thai and other oriental dishes, the spicier the better. There are some lovely ones from West Australia (Margaret River) and NZ. Ryan, you're just sick. Franzia. Blech. They call that stuff, "Cask of Goon" down here, for good reason.

Grad School... anybody for Univ. Trieste (northern Italy) in 4 years?

Ciao kiddies.

Whoa good Lord. Karyn, thanks for reminding us that grad school IS a good idea and my sister having a camera is NOT a good idea. Looks like Andy is enjoying himself, though, which is good.

OK OK, those are some good pictures, and I can't imagine being known as "Red Zone" at a school like that is necessarily a bad thing, at least its better than "Brown Zone". That is disgusting.

For the sake of the men in the class, maybe you shouldn't keep posting these constant reminders that we were too stupid to realize that college is for more than just a academic education. The education he is getting in those pictures is definately worth the cost of tuition, and he's only been there two weeks. Bastard. All I know is that I've expanded my graduate school list to include Penn State, Texas A&M, VT, & UNO.

There is a 95% chance that I will be in Boston this weekend, depending on the hurricane. Karyn, if you're gonna be around, we should definately get a beer.

Sometimes the sibling pride is just overwhelming. Got this link from Andy this morning. Doug you'll be happy to know he is having a lot of fun at Virginia Tech, though they don't know him as Andy down there - he is known as "Red Zone." When I asked him why, he said his friend told everyone that he ate more pu&*y than anyone else he'd ever known. Why couldn't he have made something else up for the sake of his sister I don't know. Corey, aren't you glad that Robin didn't send you email links like this one?

Wow, I haven't checked this place out in a while.

Anyway, from the recent news, can I get a somber, "Come and knock on my door" for our good friend John Ritter.

Dave, I'm sure I'll be open for any of those days you mentioned. I can go down to Providence or if people want to come up to Boston, I just moved into a fly new place that overlooks the Harvard area. I also just added a new roommate to the mix in the form of a little kitten named "Ninja!!" (You have to say it with the exclamation points).

Dave I'll participate since apparently I'm turning into the Jill of our class...

Lately I've been on a pretty major asian food bender, which tends to favor sweet(er) white wines, so actually I've been a fan of Reisling, but chardonnay or sauvignon blanc does the trick.

On days like this I remember how much I miss all of you guys and how many good and bad times we shared togther. Hope all is well with all of you.

Maybe these will lighten the mood on a somber day: I came across some old quotes while cleaning up my bookcase this evening. I think they were from a trip to Prof. Harris's place.

"I have been at Webb for 4 years, anything that slobbers and has fur is fine with me" - Jax
"Boy, you slipped into domestic servitude fairly quickly" -Ryan to Jax
"Oh yeah, your're getting dirty down there and you like it" - Karyn to Prof. Harris's dog, Roudy

My favorite is Welch's mixed with Everclear. At least thats what I'd like to watch people drink. Barring that, you can't go wrong with a box of Franzia.

Karyn- Still waiting on my sister and brother-in-law (continuing on Anthony's theme) to tell me when they're gonna get their piece of me (Doug, no comments about slappin and my sister, she's pregnant). I'm still thinking mid-late first week of October (8 or 9th). We'll just have to play it by ear I guess. The 7th is out, so we're narrowing it down. :)

Let's play a game kiddies: What kind of wine do you like? (White/red,dry/sweet, or (ooooooh) do you know a grape?)

Count me out for BC, I think I'll be honeymooning in January, so probably two big trips isn't going to work out.

Dave - not sure what your plans are still so I thought I would tell you that I am going to MixFest on the 3rd and to see Shania on the 7th and also am going to be visiting Christine in VA the weekend of the 24th. Also, my in-laws are supposed to be visiting sometime in October, though we haven't firmed anything up with them we suspect it will be the weekend of the 18th. I can work around them though.

That may actually work for me. I should be just about wrapped up in Alaska by then and maybe could have my return route manage a stop for some skiing. I can't commit to anything now it will probably have to be a spur of the moment thing. Keep me informed.

Nick, what does "hell ya" mean anyway?

hell ya

Here's a question that is going to seem like a real oddball given that last weekend was Labor Day, but who's up for some skiing this winter? As usual, Constable and I are trying to take a trip from our pathetically winter-challenged home states and go somewhere to ski for a week - and this year's destination is going to be Whistler. Now, for those of you who aren't Kyle, airfare to the wonderful Pacific Northwest is fairly reasonable at the moment, the exchange rate helps with costs once we're there, and the more people that split a condo the better. At the moment we're thinking of heading up during one of the two weeks following President's Day, thus avoiding the craziest part of the season and frequent flyer blackout dates. At this point, though, I think the whole thing is pretty flexible. So, can I get a hell yeah from anybody who's even partially interested?

Hee hee.... great pics indeed Corey.

In the dancing shot, I was like, "Hey, who's that hammered blonde chick in the white top??" And THEN I scrolled up and saw the other pics. Way to go Karyn! ;)

Douglas... Maybe we can arrange a different CT meeting? It'd be great to have a brewski... Time at home is already STUPID hectic and I'm not even there yet. I'll try to give everyone a call when I get home to work it out.
