heh heh. I was walking along the other day, and there were schoolgirls in uniform everywhere on the sidewalk, and a memory came racing back to me that I thought I would remind everyone of.....

Does anybody else remember walking along a street in Annapolis, across the street from a flock of schoolgirls, when a mesmerized certain class mate of ours walked SMACK into a pole of some sorts? heh heh. I won't mention names, but I'm pretty sure it was our recently engaged classmate and fearless Honor Council Chairman, no?

Hope everyone is well, and warmer than Sloug. Peace.

I'm up here in Juneau trying to get the state to accept this damn boat, I've been here since saturday afternoon & its not a bad town actually. Nice mountains & crap, bald eagles are like pigeons in NY, & I ain't paying for a thing. Anyway, just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I know 95 has been a disaster & I'm glad I missed that mess.

Doug, I really hope you are with the boat on the west coast! If not are you taking the next couple weeks off of work in lieu of 95 blowing up? Sounds like a great reason for a vacation to me.

Well I guess it is time to stand up and defend my honor and spread some cheer and some gloom.

First, yes, I waxed my truck. Not anything else. Certainly not anything that could be described by John Madden as being 'below the waist and behind the towel.'

Next, as many of you know, I've been in the process of applying to graduate school at Michigan since last fall. It's a 50-50 good/bad split at this point: accepted to NAME quickly and easily, turned down by Michigan Business School for an MBA. At this point, despite a pretty scant financial aid offer (if you are thinking grad school REJOIN SNAME & ASNE!) it is looking like I'm going to be enrolling for my MSE in September, then finding a b-school for fall of 2005. That's the rundown. Oh, and ski in Canada, eh!

Ok, so I was bored at work today and thought I would catch up on Bruno's life.....

To my amazement he writes in his blog...."So last night I washed and waxed the whole Jimmy"......

OK OK, so he was only talking about his car, but really Corey, think about us dirty minded webbies before you write such a thing.

Reading your blog made me realize how little I hear about the lives of all you guys. Anyway, can't wait till this summer when we will be able to catch up at some weddings.

Back to work!

If anyone is looking for a new job or any job for that matter, I just got an e-mail from the people at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, CA. They are looking for someone to work for them either in Baltimore, MD or out in California. They do mostly concept design stuff for random navy vessels. E-mail me if you're interested and I'll put you in contact with the right people.

On another note, my wedding date plans have been soiled more times than Nick's pants when he sees a naked girl. I think we might have settled on July 2 in Minneapolis though. Its a Friday, which kind of sucks for people who have to work, but I got a free trip to Paris where I have to be there by July 5 so we're going to use that as part of a honeymoon, so tough. Anyway, I wouldn't go buying any plane tickets just yet.

Here's a good story though, since I haven't put anything on the site in a while. I went down to Florida after my phd qualifiers with Gabe, Nate, and Hootman to hang out with Upde, Jamie, and Gwen. While we were down there, Ron DMC and the Compton crew were all in the house, getting ready to go on the inaugural Caribbean Cruise of the Queen Mary II. So we all went out to have drinks of course and catch up on old times. We're all sitting around and Ronny baby starts talking about all his troubles at Webb, and he starts asking us if we know about the drunk bus that everyone drives off campus to party in, and such. Then we start talking about the vans and how they're running, when all of a sudden Jamie says, " Hey Jay, you remember that time we flipped the van over and it landed on its wheels!" Everyone starts laughing, except for Upde who has a brilliant uncomfortable smile on his face, as if to say, you weren't supposed to tell him that Jamie. Kiss' face is ashen, he tries to crack a smile, but it looks very concocted and twitchy. Anyway, it was just a great "let's make Kiss feel uncomfortable" moment courtesy of Benoit.

I have been doing some negotiating with Jill regarding the Hotel White House in July. Here is what she had to say:

"you guys are always welcome at the Hotel White House..We have two double beds, one queen futon, one twin pull-out couch, 2 plain couches and lots of floor space. We'll be back and forth to Md. all "summer" vacation, but would never miss a good party, if at all possible . Drew had mentioned before that we would be invited, but if we're not, you guys can stay here anyway. "

She already has one of the double beds on reserve for me so don't even think about it. I am sure she would love to hear from all of you guys so feel free... Jscompton@aol.com Hope all is well with all of you

Anybody hear how a water taxi can be capsized by a gust of wind? Let us know if anybody gets the inside scoop.
