Derecktor just moved an 800 Ton floating drydock to Bridgeport. It is an old great lakes ore carrier, actually it is a sister ship to the Edmund Fitzgerald. The way things operate around here I wouldn't be surprised if she experienced the same fate too...
Hows everyone been? Just a reminder Alumni Campaign is underway again, lets get some donations & increase the number of donors as well, last year was a disappointing 10/17 down from 15/17 the year before...just doing my job.

Sadly, no, just a single vote for me. I've busted my ass over the past two months trying to demonstrate (successfully) that I am a Michigan resident for tuition/fee purposes, so as much as I wanted to swing two swing states, I couldn't very well do an about-face on the residency issue. Looks like they needed my help though in Florida. Freaking old people are so afraid of terrorists blowing them up and gay folks fornicating everywhere that it's impossible to campaign democrat down there...although I suppose that was the order of the day for more than half the states, so Florida isn't alone anymore. Which way to Canada, eh?
On an unrelated note...I've always felt badly about leaving Christine at Webb junior year, but last week I got mine. I was over in Milwaukee and I stepped into the head for like 90 seconds while we were waiting for the van to take us from the ferry terminal over to the shipyard, and when I came back out (you guessed it) the whole group was speeding away.

So Corey, did you send your absentee ballot to Florida and cast your vote in Michigan? Two votes is always better than one, especially when they are in Michigan and Florida.

Everybody remember to vote today....especially those of you in swing states (Corey this means YOU!!!).....unless of course you are voting for Bush.....then you can stay home and be lazy.

Today is the due-date for a pretty big project (equivalent to the machinery arrangement for Tom Thumb, er, NJG) and I thought I'd let everybody in the class know that I miss working on projects with Webbies. This one is a block breakdown for a 198m sealift ship and it has been a huge struggle with the four other peeps in my group...some don't know how ships are built, some don't know how groups work, and none have anywhere close to the attention to detail that we had to show. So, long story short, you picked the right school. Good job.
