Okay, I'm really supposed to be working now, but I got distracted... Looking over the quotes, couldn't help myself - missing you all! Good times all around!
Hugs!

eeeeeeeesh.
Just figured out how to get back onto this site, and I'm getting all kinds of weird and incoherent messages...
1) Is Nick engaged? when is the wedding?
2) Gram... Newport to Bermuda? what boat? Sounds like a blast. Drop a line with gory details if you feel so inclined.
Life down under is madness as usual. Currently scrambling to produce deliverables for quotation for a 5M project. Got a cool business trip including scuba on the reef out of the deal though.
Will be home in November, girlfriend in tow if all goes to plan, to stuff myself silly on turkey and stuffin'. Anybody around for a get together? Nov 18-Dec 1.
Hope all are well! -Db.

Gosh, you go away for two weeks and all hell breaks loose.....Congrats Nick, I can't wait for the wedding.
I got back from Bermuda on Wednesday, and it was a great trip. For a period of about 8 to 12 hours we were actually the closest boat to Bermuda (First Place for Line Honors and the lead for at least Class A) even though many of the boats owed us several hours in corrected time. Unfortunately we sailed into light breeze and got passed to the east. Still, we were the 4th monohull to finish the race and ended up in 2nd place in Class A, even though we only had 2 people onboard. The boat performed beautifully and Prof. Hennings EE class came in handy when I had to bypass the automatic fire extinguishing circuit board that burned itself up shutting off our generator (we got a new one in Bermuda and I rewired it so it won't happen again....stupid builder putting a 20 amp load across a single 10 amp relay contact).
Bermuda was fun, meeting other racers and getting smashed when one group of visitors brought us Goslings 181 (proof) rum and we mixed it normal not realizing.
The trip home was far more relaxing with 5 people onboard and the ability to use the engine. Our greatest excitement was when we ran into a sleeping whale. Luckily it was just a glancing blow (not sure the whale feels that way), but it is really weird to feel like you just ran aground in 4,000 ft of water.
Being back at work after a 2 week vacation sucks the big one, but at least we get a long weekend after my 2 day work week.
Again, congrats to Nick.....I believe Corey is now on the clock! -- Gram
